Ok, I have a confession. I cried a teeny weeny when I got home from sending the kids off at school. Maybe it was the quietness of the apartment. Maybe its the whole being alone was just too overwhelming. Maybe the way Putra was searching for me and couldn't see me. I tried to wave and call out to him but I worry if I do, he will run out to me. So I quickly step back into the crowds of mummies and walk away with a heavy heart. My eyes were soak with tears but managed to keep my composure till I stepped into the apartment. hahaha... Hubby made fun of me saying how it was my turn to cry. Could this be separation anxiety? ahahahahaahah
So here I am sitting in my living room waiting for hubby to come home from his late telecon. Can't help thinking, if it's so hard for me to adjust, how about the kids? It must be harder for kids to adjust to changes. But then again, in some situation kids tend to adapt better than adults. So this is what I learnt from my my kids. It makes me realise how in some situation I need them to reassure me that everything is ok and vice versa. Its ok to rely on them. Afterall they are my strength.
Anyway, I am thankful for those kids. They taught me a great deal about life and motherhood.:) and oh patience.. hahahaha
God Bless to all mummies :)

Remembering Kids' First Day At School
Feeling nervous but excited for the kids. Even though Putri had been in a montessori school before, it feels different this time maybe because she was in Nursery and now she be in Kindergarten. I am a little worry because Putri had been home-school more for the last 3years and wonder how she will be. In the montessori school the atmosphere was totally different from kindergarten. The school had a very homely, enthusiastic, fun, loud atmosphere. Putri love it there because she got to learn with kids not just her age but from as young as 2 1/2 up to 6years old.
She is very nervous and worry too. She cried last night saying she doesn't want to go school because it is different. I reassured her over and over and finally she fall asleep. This morning she seems alright. I hope she will enjoy school. Today is consider a trial day. So both kids will have both parents with them. Putra will be in Nursery1/Playgroup. There will be 8 more new kids his age joining today. It will be good for him to have his own social life. hahahaha
Anyways, will tell more about their first day later. Right now I need a strong tea to calm myself down. Hahahahaha.

It Was A Good First Day @ St.Francis Kindrgarten
I felt nostalgic being at the Kindergarten. 25years ago, I was a student there. The kindergarten for sure was different but the church and the surrounding were the same. I instantly knew the kids will have fun.

As expected, Putri cried for the first 15mins. But after she behave like she had been in the school for years. She make friends with almost all of her classmates and of course with the playboy in the class Hahahaha. Putri loving it and Thank God for that.
As for Putra.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
He is really in his own little world. He has this "I don't care attitude" but at the same time he is very sociable with the other kids. He threw tantrums when the teacher tried to make him sit with the kids. The usual thing he did when he didn't get his way. But other than that I can tell he enjoyed the day.

So today is the second day and its activity and movement day so lots of play and outdoor activities. As for me, I am looking forward to have my own outdoor activity; a nice afternoon swim. Aaaahhhh nice quiet time without kids..... hehehehehehe
God Bless

My Savvy Kiddos...

I remember when I was pregnant with my first one, I picked up Scrabble. Well Scrabble online game. I got really crazy about it and started to learn how to play the game. I was addicted. I recall having dictionary, jotting down new words and reading up on ways to score points etc etc...
From then on, I start to explore online pc games. I am a pc games maniac... hahahhahaa... And now, my girl is a pc game chick too... heheheehhe. she loves playing games whether its playhouse disney, nick jr, yahoo games, msn games or playfirst games.
I remember about 2 1/2 years ago I tried to teach her to recognize letters since she knew them by speech. It was really difficult. Then we bought her a V-Tech game and she played winnie the pooh game that taught letters recognition. Within a week, she knew them all.
So, what did I do? I surf the internet and saved all the good educational games sites for her. Its amazing what the internet can do for your kids if you really take the time to explore and off course supervise them at all time. I think once kids are motivated, the desire to learn and explore will come naturally.
Now my son who is 2 1/2 years old, is learning to use the pc. We didn't actually taught him how to use the mouse. He used to sit next to his sister when she played her games and I guess he learned through observation.
Today, he played few games in playhouse disney website. He was very happy and proud of himself. Pretty happy that he is able to use the mouse well because I truly believe he will learn a lot from the games. After-all at this age, boys tend to learn better through games and this will motivate him to want to explore more.
Happy to say we are now a family of computer geeks... hahahahahaha
Have a good weekend!
